Position Overview

As an Automotive Internet Sales Consultant, you will manage internet sales by generating and following up on online leads. The role requires excellent communication and relationship-building skills as well as thorough product knowledge to guide customers through their vehicle purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact customers to perform needs analysis regarding vehicle make, type, and desired features.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation in the showroom or on test drives.
  • Research model availability and optional equipment using computer databases.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate sales prices including tax, trade-in allowances, licensing fees, and financing or lease terms.
  • Inspect inventory regularly by walking the lot.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and coordinate vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Familiarize customers with their new vehicle upon delivery.
  • Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position offering a flexible schedule with every other weekend off.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of related internet sales management experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least two years of automotive internet sales experience.
  • Strong sales skills with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including diligent follow-up before and after sales.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
